This page lists all sorts of activity available for members to participate in. Such projects will be initiated in various ways, through proposals on the initiative of members or by assignments presented by outsiders who wish to engage the forum-members.

Any progress made in any particular projects will be provided in detail within the relevant topic. So long as a project is active, it will be listed as such for participation. Upon closure it will be listed alongside completed projects.

Conformal Field Theory

This is a series of video lectures on introduction to Conformal Field Theory given by Dr. Samir Kumar Paul. The 1st lecture took place on Thursday, 27th August, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Indian Standard Time. The main reference we are using is the note on 'Applied Conformal Field Theory' by Paul Ginsparg,...

Constraint Dynamics

This is a series of video lectures on Constraint Dynamics given by Professor Rabin Banerjee. The links to the youtube videos have been provided below. lecture 1, 11th Sept, 2014:                  ...

Workshop on Quantum Gravity

This workshop is aimed towards exploring the latest trends in the study of quantum gravity. One area of emphasis here right now is Loop Quantum Gravity. For those who are initiates, there is a wealth of reference material available below. References: New perspectives in Canonical gravity...

Workshop on Differential Geometry

This began as part of the Special Discussion Series, but due to the unfamiliarity of some members with the basics of differential geometry, we decided to start this workshop to review our knowledge. In time, all note material developed in connection to this workshop will be linked...

Special Discussion Series

A series of discussions related to differential geometry, relativity and quantum field theory will be held over the coming days. The schedule will be provided on the events calendar page, and are listed below as follows: Closed time-like loops Schwarzschild metric Very Special Relativity Hopf...

Einstein-Strauss-Kaufman Theory

Einstein had once considered the possibility of an anti-symmetric metric, and tried to connect it to electromagnetic fields. Here we take a closer look at the theory, known as the Einstein-Strauss-Kaufman theory. References :     Gravity and Strings  - Tomas Ortin   ...

Very Special Relativity

A visitor to the site has recommended a study of 'VERY SPECIAL RELATIVITY' and suggests all interested members to prepare a pedagogical exposition on the topic. Available reference material and links are: Symmetries in a very special relativity and isometric group of Finsler Space.pdf...
